Winter 2008 Full Moon Snowmobile
Rides Every season, Paul & Susie are
searching for those unforgettable rides and places around Telluride,
Colorado that they can’t wait to bring their friends to. Last year, they
found their winter wonderland at Dunton Hot Springs. The town is the most
unique resort in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the snowmobile trails
are some of the best in Colorado.
Join us for a
snowmobile adventure to Dunton Hot Springs. There are two full moon
snowmobile rides scheduled on Saturday, February 23 and
Saturday, March 22 . You can choose to have dinner only or
enjoy an overnight stay, which we highly recommend. The full moon
snowmobile rides begin in the afternoon leaving from the Barlow parking lot. We
ride down the Dunton Road on a snowmobile trail taking time to play in
the numerous powder fields. The snowmobile ride in is 30 minutes to 2
hours depending on how long you wish to ride on the fun snowmobile trails and play
in the deep powder that the Colorado mountains have
been blessed with this winter. Once at Dunton Hot Springs, guests are
welcome to settle into their own unique cabin, enjoy beverages in the
historic saloon, tour the incredible buildings throughout the town, and
most importantly spend much needed time in the glorious hot springs.
Dining at Dunton is quite a treat. Dinner is served family style at a
long antique table in the center of the saloon. The food is
absolutely incredible and often created from local ingredients. After
dinner, the real fun begins with a moonlight snowmobile ride to the
Meadows. There is nothing more spectacular than the moonlight upon snow
covered mountains and meadows. Cap the evening off with another visit to
the hot springs to warm your chilled bones. If there is anyone still
wanting more activities, we are always up for a nice
bonfire! A great breakfast starts the following day off nicely.
You may choose to go on a snowmobile ride or to experience one of the many
activities that Dunton offers such as ice skating, ice climbing, snow
shoeing, spa treatments or just hanging out in the cozy library. When
the day is over and you are heading home, you will already be planning
your next snowmobile vacation at Dunton!
For our
customers that cannot attend evening and overnight rides, we can arrange
the same adventurous day with a lunch and soak package.
